Who we are

Owned and operated by Evan Anderson, a Red Seal chef with over 40 years of culinary passion, The Marketplace opened its doors in the heart of Sexsmith on November 21, 2024. Housed within a reimagined section of Anderson Hardware, The Marketplace serves up a delicious selection of fresh and frozen take-away meals – including handmade hummus, pasta, sauces, soups, appetizers, and one dish meals– all prepared with heart and heritage. We also welcome special requests

In addition to great food, The Marketplace now offers Italian-themed cooking classes, welcoming community members to learn, taste, and connect. The shop also showcases local artisan goods such as woodworking, stained glass, pottery, and beeswax creations. With upcoming events like Teen cooking camps and private gatherings in the works, The Marketplace is quickly becoming a warm and creative hub in Sexsmith, Alberta.
